A Great way to Learn Quilting Techniques and Try out new block patterns.
Each month we will Construct different Quilt Block and discuss ways it can be quilted.
September Block of the Month is "Free Trade"
This block is composed of squares, rectangles, half square triangles and flying geese
This block requires 3 Fabrics
1 Light value, 1 medium value and 1 dark value of the SAME COLOR Family
A fat quarter of each fabric will be plenty to make a total of four blocks.

A fat quarter of each fabric will be plenty to make a total of four blocks.
Be sure that your fabric is pressed and ready to cut when you arrive to class.
Avoid directional fabrics and avoid large prints.
Tone on Tones are excellent choices.
Thread – Good Quality Sewing Machine thread - 50 weight for Piecing is suggeted
General Supplies for quilting classes.
Sewing Machine , ¼” patchwork foot is helpful, Even Feed or Walking Foot needed for quilting
Sewing Machine Needles: size 80/12 – quilting needles, microtext, or sharps
Rotary Cutter, Cutting Mat and Cutting Ruler: Rotary Cutting makes cutting go fast and easy
Ruler Size: 6”x 24”(also comes 6.5”x 24.5”) and a 6.5” X 6.5”and 4.5” x 4.5”
Cutting Mat for class 18” x 24”
Snips or small thread cutting scissors
Fabric marking tool: - graphite pencil or chalk pencil, or fabric markers
SHARP Quilting Straight pins like the Dritz Flowerhead pins
